Welcome to Ilford Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhireilford.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Ilford Rental

All vehicle rentals with Ilford are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or vehicle collection. This agreement sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for that rental. If any conflict arises between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Ilford Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Ilford, you must:

Be 21 years of age or older (age limits differ by vehicle type; additional fees may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a current full driving licence for the relevant vehicle class, held for the minimum period set out in the Ilford Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification, proof of address and an accepted payment method.

3. Ilford Booking and Payment

Bookings are accepted via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Ilford branch. A reservation deposit may be requested to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and security deposit are generally payable on vehicle collection. Prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Ilford Vehicle Collection and Return

You must inspect the vehicle at collection and report any existing damage to Ilford immediately. Ilford will complete a vehicle condition report for you to sign. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged in line with Ilford’s damage policy.

5. Ilford Insurance and Liability

Ilford includes basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Ilford's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific terms. Charges may apply for late cancellations or no-shows.

7. Ilford Prohibitions

You must not use the rented vehicle from Ilford for:

Any unlawful purpose or activity involving Ilford vehicles or services. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Carrying hazardous or regulated materials. Sub-letting to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes the vehicle is not intended for.

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate termination of the Ilford rental and additional charges.

8. Ilford Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Ilford will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Ilford for the relevant service in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Ilford Jurisdiction

These Terms for Ilford are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English and Welsh courts.

10. Changes to Ilford Terms

Ilford may update these Terms at any time. Any changes take effect immediately upon posting on the Ilford website. Your continued use of Ilford services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
