3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or directly at our Ilford office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. The remainder of the payment and a security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
4. Car Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage without delay. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless you opt for extra coverage. Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar dangerous behaviors is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to others is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, ensure compliance with passenger limits and designated geographical areas.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Ilford will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
